Custom Arrangements

Sweet Child O' Mine - Concert Band - Full Score.jpg

Concert Band

A customer was having trouble finding a Concert Band arrangement at an intermediate level that was true to the original arrangement and decided to commission one with us.

This arrangement follows the arrangement of the original recording much more authentically, but still offers new textures and lines not found in the original to tie it together as a truly unique concert band arrangement.

Chamber Ensemble

A client with a very specific instrumentation needed an arrangement of Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye. The arrangement needed to feature the cello player, who was very strong, and provide an extremely easy trumpet part as the trumpet player was operating on a beginner level.

The arrangement starts off following the structure of the original recording mostly and then is transformed toward the end of the arrangement.

Musical Theater

A customer wanted to translate a recording they had of a piece from Footloose the Musical to fit the orchestra they had hired for the performance.

This arrangement was scored for Reed 1, Bass, Guitar, Keyboard 1, Keyboard 2 and Drums.

Jazz Combo

A client with two pianists in a jazz combo wanted an arrangement of Spain that kept the two pianists' parts off of each other and had trumpet, alto sax, and tenor sax for horns.

This arrangement includes a nod to the electric piano opening section found in the original and mostly follows the feel of Corea's best known studio version of this piece.

Custom Edits / Transposition

A client needed a custom medley created from two existing arrangements for a fundraising event.  The project required reviewing edits/cuts from the client on the existing arrangements, transposition, and formatting the score and parts to make it easy to work with.

Digitization, Simplification and Reorchestration Services

Sometimes an arrangement can get you mostly there but has the wrong instrumentation or requires simplifying certain students' parts in order to work with your ensemble.

In this example we have taken the legendary Can-Can from IMSLP, used more commonly available instrument transpositions for a school setting (moving away from Clarinet in A for example) and cleaned up the arrangement to make it legible.

In this example, we did not simplify anything from the original, but we often simplify specific parts for students who are not able to play pieces as they are originally scored.

This pieces is sold by our publishing wing NiceChart.
